We are proud of our school uniform and the way our children look.

We ask all parents/carers to ensure that their children are dressed in the correct clothes and shoes, have PE kit in school and follow the guidelines on hair and jewellery. Please make sure all clothing is labelled with your child’s name.

We recognise the financial burden of purchasing named uniform items.  There is no requirement that uniform items have to have the school logo.  Plain royal blue sweatshirts, jumpers and cardigans are acceptable uniform items and can be purchased from a wide range of supermarkets.  Likewise, plain red/green/yellow/blue t-shirts are also acceptable for PE.

Should you wish to purchase school uniform with the school logo (cardigans, sweatshirts, t-shirts, book bags and PE bags, caps, sunhats and shower-proof coats) are stocked at Boffins School Outfitters. The contact details are:

PE Kit

Pupils are required to wear their PE kit as their uniform on the days that they have PE or a physical activity.  Our PE kit comprises of:

  • coloured t-shirt reflective of house group (red/yellow/blue/green).  This can be bought from our suppliers with the school logo or can be a plain supermarket/shop bought t-shirt.
  • white/black/navy shorts or cycle shorts (summer/indoor PE)
  • Plain black, grey or navy tracksuit for outdoor/winter months
  • plain trainers

Hair

Hairstyles should be kept simple and appropriate for school. Long hair must be tied back and hair styles appropriate for school.  Coloured hair dye or spray is not permitted.

Jewellery

Only the following items of jewellery can be worn in school:

  • a watch (smart watches or watches that are able to receive messages are not permitted).
  • plain gold or silver stud earrings in pierced ears only

Please note; watches and jewellery are not permitted in the EYFS (Nursery and Reception) for health and safety reasons.

If a child wears any earrings, apart from studs, they will be asked to remove them. Staff cannot remove earrings for children. Please think carefully about this if your child asks to have their ears pierced. The school cannot accept responsibility for any jewellery that may be lost. Children are not allowed to wear earrings during PE lessons for health & safety reasons; please can you ensure these are removed prior to the day.

In addition, no body piercings, tattoos (temporary or permanent), nail varnish or make-up is to be worn in school.

If a pupil does not wear the required uniform a reminder letter will be sent home to parents/carers.
